Silence & Shouting
Kennisa examines the binaries of silence and shouting within and around Luke 19:29-40. In the story of Jesus's entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, there is a tension between silence and shouting. A tension that brings up questions like: When should we be silent and when should we shout? What if silence and shouting (or speaking) the bible, there is a time to speak and a time to be silent, and often they're coexisting. Because silence, listening, shouting and speaking…within communities of solidarity, they are all happening at the same time. Within these communities, we can all find our points within this spectrum of communication.
