THIS EVENT IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
Isaac Archuleta is one of the country's foremost LGBTQ Christian thinkers, a counselor with the iAmClinic of Denver, CO, and the current interim executive director of Q Christian Fellowship. Queer Communion has hosted him before via Forefront Brooklyn, and this time, Grafted NYC -- an interdenominational community of queer Christians throughout NYC -- is hosting him to lead a discussion on reclaiming desire.
Queer Communion is inviting all its members and anyone who is interested, regardless of how you identify, to come up to this event.
As members of the LGBTQIA community, it is rare to have been guided with a moral compass that leaves us sure of our sexual ethic. Many of us hide our authenticity as a means of belonging. Shame leaves an imprint, not just in the ways our behaviors show up on paper, but also on the core of our identities. Often, we don’t even notice it. Shame can live in the secret corners of our lives.
Have you ever felt like you broke your own self-trust, or that a behavior has left you feeling valueless? Have you ever felt like you don’t do the things you want, but always end up doing the things you didn’t want to? If so, come join us to learn how to rewrite you script for healthy sex and fulfilling relationships.
RSVP at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can get a headcount.
