FOREFRONT FAMILIES

Kidstuf

At Kidstuf, we believe in providing more than just childcare on Sunday mornings.  We provide space so babies, toddlers and children alike can form friendships and grow in their relationship with God.  Children learn about biblical themes and stories through many mediums including music and art. We encourage children to ask questions and explore freely the various Biblical themes and characters.  Our curriculum focuses on these Biblical truths:

-I am loved by God.

-We are created in the image of God.

-Jesus taught us how to love generously.

We learn how we can continue to live out the Gospel in our daily lives, in our home, in our school and in our community.

There are 4 age group programs: nursery, preschool, elementary, and Student Impact.

The Kidstuf (birth-5th grade) classes are available during both services. Student Impact only meets during the 11:30 service.

The nursery is for babies and toddlers under 3 years old. We introduce these children to Biblical themes through simple songs and crafts.

The preschool class is for children 3 years old through those in kindergarten.  Through games, crafts, music and role-play, children can explore stories from the bible and are given space to wonder and ask questions.

The elementary class is for children currently in 1st-5th grade. In this age group, children follow the same curriculum as preschoolers but are challenged to find ways to live out the Gospel in their home, in their school and in their neighborhood.

Occasionally the teens will participate in leading worship on stage and here is a blog about our Palm Sunday service when they last led.

If you have any questions about our family programming, please contact Mira.

VOLUNTEER

Our family ministry is currently experiencing a baby boom, and so we are looking for volunteers who are dedicated to caring for the physical and spiritual growth of these families. Whether it is holding babies in the nursery to teaching a class of elementary schoolers, we would love to have you! If you are interested in serving in one of the family ministry areas, please contact Mira.

FAMILY SMALL GROUP

We have launched our family small group!  If you are looking to connect with other families in our church community, come and join us.  Host families rotate and meet bi-weekly.  For more information, please contact Lauren Callahan.

3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt

The snow gathered on the ground did not stop over 130 children and adults from gathering at Prospect Park for Kidstuf's 3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt.  Friends, family and community enjoyed a FREE afternoon of fun sponsored by Forefront Families and community members.

These are photos from last years event.  This year's photos to come soon!

"Lydia"

Our World of Hidden Colors Our elementary kids work together to create dye using items found in God’s creation similar to how Lydia would have made her purple dye. It’s amazing all the colors we find around us everyday.

Welcome Signs Our Prek kids had a creative time making welcome signs for their doors. Lydia was a good example of this welcoming spirit. They thought of many ways to be welcoming and inclusive.
